PIFF 2025’s festivities conclude with our Closing Gala. Celebrate our season with a rare New York talk with the cast and creator of Hawaiʻi’s newest hit Chief of War. That will lead us into the celebration of the top films of the festival with the 2025 PIFF Awards and the evening will be cappstoned with the soulful performance by Keilana.
Ahead of it's 3rd anual year, the Pacific Island Film Festival of New York City (PIFF NYC) is honored to partner with Hawai'i News Now to presned a five-part television showcase of short films, proudly brought to TV audiences across the Pacific. Each episode features a curated selection of films presented in full, followed by an intimate interview with the filmmakers, who share how they brought thier Oceanic stories to life through island resources and deep community roots.This series is especially meant to inspire Native and Local filmmakers and artists who feel they need to leave the islands to succeed; PIFF and the programs it champions demonstrate that powerful stories can begin at home and be seen and celebrated around the world.
